کھلتے ہیں دل میں پھول تری یاد کے طفیل

پکارتے تھے مجھے آسماں مگر میں نے
قیام کرنے کو یہ خاک داں پسند کیا
اٹھ کر ترے در سے کہیں جانے کے نہیں ہم
محتاج کسی اور ٹھکانے کے نہیں ہم
آنکھ رہزن نہیں تو پھر کیا ہے
لوٹ لیتی ہے قافلہ دل کا

کہ نیند شرط نہیں خواب دیکھنے کے لیے
بدن میں جیسے لہو تازیانہ ہو گیا ہے

رنج کم سہتا ہے اعلان بہت کرتا ہے
رات کو جیت تو پاتا نہیں لیکن یہ چراغ

تم پرندوں سے زیادہ تو نہیں ہو آزاد
شام ہونے کو ہے اب گھر کی طرف لوٹ چلو

شمع خیمہ کوئی زنجیر نہیں ہم سفراں
