دل کے گھر میں بڑا اندھیرا ہے
بہت تراشا میں نے محبت سے صنم کو
سو پتھر تھا پتھر ہی نکلا
میری تقدیر میں نہ تھا وہ شخص
جو زندگی کی ہر تحریر میں تھا
محبت کرو تو
اعتبار کرنا بھی سیکھو
حال دل کچھ اس طرح کا ہے
چپ ہے اور شور بھی مچا رہا ہے
رنگ اترے تو ہمیں چھوڑ دیا تو نے بھی
خوبرو تھے تو تیری جان ہوا کرتے تھے
اور جانتے ہو تکلیف کیا ہے ؟
جن کے لئے بدلے تھے ان کا بدل جانا
ایک تجھ سے تعلق ختم ہونے کے بعد
میں نے چن چن کے تعلق ختم کیے
کیا پایا میں نے کچھ پل کی محبت سے
ایک شاعری کا ہنر دوسرا جاگنے کی سزا
وہ ساتھی تھا میرا یا میں ساتھ اس کے
وہ زندگی کے کچھ دن یا زندگی تھی کچھ دن
کوئی کسی کا منتظر نہیں ہوتا
ہم خود کو فقط بیوقوف بناتے ہیں
