Govt approves inquiry commission for IHC Judges letter
Islamabad: The Federal Cabinet gave its approval to the establishment of an investigation committee on the six justices of the Islamabad High Court’s letter.

The formation of a judicial investigation panel over the letter of the judges of the Islamabad High Court has been approved, and Justice (retd) Tasadeq Jilani has been named as the commission’s leader.
According to the sources, the Attorney General and the Minister of Law will prepare the TO for the Commission in this respect. The Attorney General specifically attended the federal cabinet meeting. This time, the Islamabad High Court’s six judges’ letter was given to the cabinet members.
It was decided to constitute the probe committee during the meeting between Pakistan’s Chief Justice and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to the sources. A full court hearing was convened by Pakistan’s Chief Justice to discuss the letter sent by six justices of the Islamabad High Court.
It is noteworthy that six judges of the Islamabad High Court reportedly faced pressure and interference in their work, and on March 26 they addressed a letter to the Supreme Judicial Council voicing their concerns.
On behalf of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri, Justice Babar Sattar, Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, and Justice Suman Rift Imtiaz of the Islamabad High Court, the aforementioned letter has been prepared.
